A big thank you to the 20 residents who attended the Talk Shop with Cops event on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Central Park. Cadence is proud to work closely with Henderson Police Department to help keep our community safe, and we enjoyed being able to host this event inviting the entire Henderson community for a morning of casual conversation with the cops.

Highlights from the event include:

  • Chief of Police Thedrick Andres spoke briefly to the crowd and answered questions from the stage. Congresswoman Susie Lee was also present.
  • Touch-A-Truck Opportunities with SWAT, K-9, Motors, Detention Center, Community Relations Unit, Recruitment
  • Henderson Animal Care & Control hosted on-site animal adoptions and two dogs were adopted from the event.
  • Our neighbors at Cadence Animal Hospital came out and provided goodie bags and free wellness checks for animals adopted at the event.
  • HPD’s Community Relations, Recruitment, and Volunteer units were also on site.
  • Cadence Neighborhood Watch was on-site collecting new registrations.
  • Delicious grub from Smile Pies food truck, and coffee Kona Kope Hale.
